Choreographer Claudia Schreier occupies a special
As part of MCB’s To Florida, With Love pop-up series, Ariel Rose has created not one but two dynamic new works.
On Sunday, March 6, corps de ballet dancer Petra Love will debut a choreographic work entitled New Love at The Underline Brickell Backyard Sound Stage as part of MCB’s To Florida, With Love outdoor pop-up performance series. The work, featuring dancers Jennifer Lauren, Rui Cruz, Ethan Rodrigues, and Luiz Silva, is set to Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 4 in C Minor.
As one of the most renowned ballet companies in the country, Miami City Ballet performs for nearly 125,000 patrons annually during its South Florida home season in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and tours to major cities domestically and internationally, including recent visits to New York City, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Los Angeles and Paris.
This Black History Month, MCB celebrates the extraordinary Black artists that have made an impact at Miami City Ballet and who continue to contribute to a more prosperous and more diverse cultural and creative landscape.
