Student Division

For boys and girls ages 8-13. Audition is required.

The comprehensive MCB School syllabus is introduced in Level I and progresses through Level VI. It places an emphasis on strong classical technique, proper body alignment and overall strength and stamina.

Advancement from level to level is based on annual evaluations of the individual student’s technical ability, physical aptitude, strength, classroom effort and attendance, as determined by the School directors and faculty.

Every ballet class is taught to live piano accompaniment. Parents and family members are invited to observe students in class during Parent Observation Weeks.

Students in this Division have the exclusive opportunity to audition for Miami City Ballet’s production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® and other Company productions with performances at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami and the Broward Center in Fort Lauderdale.
