For students age 14+. Audition required.
The 2022 Choreographic Intensive is a unique, two-week summer program where a selective group of students ages 14-18 will have the exclusive opportunity to work with new and emerging guest choreographers. Students will experience first-hand what it’s like to have a work created on them, while choreographers will have the resources to create new work. The program takes place at MCB Studios in Miami Beach. Students will have a daily technique class with MCB faculty, followed by a full day of rehearsals with the choreographers. The program concludes with a performance to premiere the new pieces

Housing and Student Life
Supervised Housing is offered for 2-Week Choreographic Intensive students ages 14-18. Space at the Tradewinds Apartments is extremely limited and is available on a first come, first serve basis. Students ages 14 and up have the option of staying at the Tradewinds Apartments. These apartment style residences are fully furnished and equipped. In addition to 24-hour building security, live-in MCBS Staff member(s) will be available around the clock to meet our students’ needs. It is important to note that meals are not included in the Tradewinds Housing Fee.
Please note: Students who will need housing have many options in the areas surrounding the location where the programs are offered. Housing is at the parent’s sole cost and expense. In addition, we have an optional dormitory-style housing opportunity offered through Miami City Ballet. This unit houses four students to a room. For that reason, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, any parents who opt for their child to live in the dormitory-style housing will need to provide proof that their child has been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and sign our Assumption of Risk, Waiver, and Release form.
Registration Fee: $75.00
