Mary Kate Edwards

Hometown: Mobile, Alabama

Mary Kate Edwards was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama where she began dancing at C.C. Dance Studio. She started her formal ballet training at Mobile Ballet and later moved to New York City to attend the School of American Ballet under scholarship in 2016-2019, where she performed leading roles in George Balanchine’s “Western Symphony” and “Bourrée Fantasque” in their annual workshop performances. 

She continued her training on scholarship at the Miami City Ballet School in 2019 where she was given many opportunities to perform with the company. She joined Miami City Ballet’s corps de ballet in 2021.
