MCB Summer Intensive Concludes

The 2016 MCB Summer Intensive concluded with Summer Repertory Performances on July 22 & 23. Students showcased their talents and hard work with original choreography from MCB School faculty as well as excerpts from La Bayadère and the finale of George Balanchine’s Who Cares?

MCB School’s most successful summer to date, the five-week program was at capacity with 270 students participating from 31 states and 8 countries. Over $165,000 in scholarships were awarded. Throughout the program, students had the chance to take class with the School’s renowned faculty members as well as MCB principal dancers Jeanette Delgado, Patricia Delgado and Renato Penteado, principal soloist Nathalia Arja, and MCB ballet masters Joan Latham and Arnold Quintane.

Forty students were invited to stay for the 2016-17 school year program, which begins in September, where they can continue to train at the official school of Miami City Ballet.

The cities and dates for the 2017 Summer Intensive Audition Tour will be announced soon. Online pre-registration will open in October.

Students can still audition for the the 2016-17 school year program at our Open House on Saturday, July 30.
