Summer Program In-person Audition Details:

For our 2023 Summer Audition Season, Miami City Ballet School is going on our Tour to hold in-person auditions in cities around the US. If you cannot attend one of our in-person auditions, don’t worry, video submissions are also accepted.

To create an account, view available class times and to complete the registration form please visit the audition online portal. For students who cannot attend an in-person audition class should submit an audition video.

Please complete only ONE registration form even if you are interested in more than one program. If you have previously registered to audition for a past program, please use that same email address you previously entered to create an account.

Participants only need to attend/submit one audition to be evaluated for all programs. All students will be considered for each program based on age & technical eligibility during the audition.

• Pre-Registration is only available online through Audition registration portal and is only accepted via credit card through the online audition registration portal.
• Walk-ups audition fees are accepted via credit card, cash, or check.
• Girls 9-18 are expected to have previous ballet training and should wear a leotard (any style and color), tights and ballet shoes. Hair must be pulled off the face, in a bun. Girls 11 – 18 should bring pointe shoes, if en pointe.
• Boys 9-18 are expected to have previous ballet training and should wear a white shirt, black tights, and ballet shoes.
• Class are offered for specific age groups (Audition Tour is open to students ages 8 – 19)
• You must register with the age group you are on the day of the audition: All students should audition according to the age they are on the day of the audition.
• A COVID-19 vaccination will not be required for auditions.
• COVID-19 protocols may vary at each location depending on sites current requests: Masks might be required at specific audition locations.
• Parents will not be allowed to observe the audition and at some locations may not be permitted to enter the building. No exceptions.
• Students can expect to take a one (1) hour to hour-and-a-half (1hr 30min) ballet class, after a check-in process.
• All students will receive email notification of the results within 5-7 business days after their audition.
• Admitted students will be provided instructions for registration.
• After you complete a pre-registration for a particular city or video registration, and your plans change, you may switch audition cities and/or between an in-person and video audition. To make this switch contact School@miamicityballet.org
• Results will not be given over the phone. No exceptions.

Pricing:

• $40 Pre-Registration Audition Fee
• $45 Register on the day
• All audition fees are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable regardless of circumstance.

Prospective students can Pre-Register for an in-person audition. After the pre-registration deadline for each city, day of registrations (walk-ins) are accepted. Please note, there is a cost increase for day of registrations. Space for each audition could be limited, therefore, pre-registration is highly recommended. COVID-19 Protocols may vary at each location.

We are currently accepting Video Auditions for 2023 Summer Programs for ages 8 and up.

If you cannot attend one of our in-person auditions during the 2023 Tour, don’t worry, video submissions are also accepted!

• Video submissions will be reviewed on rolling basis: For 2023 summer Result will be sent out starting January 9, 2023
• All students will receive email notification of the results within 5 – 7 business days after they submit an audition video.
• Admitted students will be provided instructions for registration.
• Results will not be given over the phone. No exceptions.
