About the program
Miami City Ballet School’s Student Division syllabus places an emphasis on strong classical technique, proper body alignment and overall strength and stamina. All ballet classes are taught to live piano accompaniment.
Is this program right for my child?
Student Division classes are open to boys and girls ages 8-13.
Admission into the Student Division requires an audition. You may visit Our Audition or email school@miamicityballet.org for more information on how to audition.
Program Options
1. Upon acceptance into the program students will be placed in a level based on the individual student’s ability
2. Choose the payment plan that works for you
1. Full payment plan: payment due September 1
2. Two-payment plan: payment due September 1 and January 1
3. Eight-payment plan: payment due September – April

There is a non-refundable registration fee for all students of $100.
There is a non-refundable performance fee for all students of $60.
Tuition/fees and all payments are non-refundable, and non-transferable regardless of circumstance, either prior to, during or after the program.

End of year evaluations
Advancement from level to level is based on annual evaluations of the individual student’s technical ability, physical aptitude, strength, classroom effort and attendance, as determined by the School directors and faculty.
End of year performances
At the end of the school year, students participate in the Student Workshop Performances to highlight their accomplishments throughout the year and gain valuable stage experience.
George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®
Students in this Division have the exclusive opportunity to audition for Miami City Ballet’s production of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® and other Company productions with performances at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami and the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach.
