Jim Eroncig Named President, Board Of Governors, At Miami City Ballet

MIAMI BEACH, FL (Nov. 14, 2011): Jim Eroncig has been named President, Board of Governors, at Miami City Ballet in Miami Beach, Florida. He succeeds Ana-Marie Codina Barlick, who remains on the Board in her new position as Chairman.’My wife Bobi and I attended our first Miami City Ballet performance in the 1990-91season,’ said Eroncig. That was the beginning of a growing admiration for the Company and its Founding Artistic Director, Edward Villella and the start of a closer association and working relationship. ‘Bobi and I have watched the Company grow by leaps and bounds to become an internationally-acclaimed, world-class ballet company, said Eroncig. Now, having just ended our 25th Anniversary season, I am thrilled to take the Company, with its magnificent dancers and dedicated staff, into the future.’ Eroncig is a prominent supporter of numerous arts and cultural organizations in South Florida. He is currently on the Board of Directors of The National Foundation for the Advancement of the Arts. He also serves as chairman of its affiliate organization, The Young Arts Council of Miami. He is a former board member of New World Symphony, Miami Art Museum, Vizcaya Foundation and the Coral Reef Yacht Club. He is the C.E.O. of Peninsula Corporation, a privately held trade finance company and he has real estate interests throughout South Florida. His wife, Bobi, is also a major supporter of Miami City Ballet. She is a member of the Board of Trustees, the Board of Governors and is chairman of the Company’s Artist’s Circle Committee.
