Hometown: Coronel Suárez, Argentina

Francisco Schilereff was born in Las Flores, a city in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He grew up in Coronel Suárez and began his ballet training at age 13 at the Instituto Coreografico Pigüé in Buenos Aires. After attending a competition in 2016 he was given the opportunity to continue his training at Cary Ballet Conservatory in North Caroline, where he studied for two years. Under the direction of Mariaelena Ruiz, he attended the Youth American Grand Prix Finals in 2019 and was offered an apprenticeship at Miami City Ballet.

During his apprenticeship he performed in George Balanchine’s Slaughter on Tenth Avenue, Justin Peck’s Rodeo: Four Dance Episodes and George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®.

He joined Miami City Ballet as member of the corps de ballet in 2020.
