Samivel Evans grew up on an alpaca ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He started studying ballet under the direction of master teacher Jefferson Baum. He later attended North Carolina School of the Arts, under the direction of Ethan Stiefel, before joining Boston Ballet. Samivel’s career with Boston Ballet consisted of two years in the second company (BBII), one year in the Corps de Ballet and two years as an “Artist of the Company”.
While dancing with Boston Ballet, Samivel performed numerous featured roles in Balanchine, classical and contemporary repertoire. Samivel also had the privilege of working extensively with William Forsythe. Most recently, he was part of Mr. Forsythe’s latest creation, Playlist EP.
He joined MCB as a corps de ballet dancer in 2019.
