Itzkan BarbosaCorps de Ballet

Itzkan Barbosa began classical ballet training at age 2 at the USC Dance Conservatory and the Center for Dance Education with Carolina Ballet, where she performed several roles including Odette in Swan Lake. Itzkan attended summer programs at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet, Barcelona Dance Center and Paris Opera Ballet. In 2014, she began training at Ballet Academy East where she performed the lead role in George Balanchine’s Walpurgisnacht Ballet, amongst other works. She came to MCB School Summer Intensive in 2018 and was accepted with to the Pre-professional division for the following school year. Itzkan has been highlighted by the Arsht Center mural project painted by Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra.
She joined MCB as a corps de ballet dancer in 2019.
