Miami City Ballet, presented by The Joyce Theater Foundation, took NYC by storm during the Company’s Lincoln Center debut, April 13 -17. For this spectacular appearance, the Company performed NY premieres of commissioned works, including Justin Peck’s Heatscape.
MCB School is pleased to welcome Arantxa Ochoa as our new Director of Faculty and Curriculum. Her appointment comes after three years of steady growth under the leadership of MCB Artistic Director and School Chairman Lourdes Lopez, and Director of School Administration Darleen Callaghan.
Miami City Ballet is 50 dancers strong for the 2016-17 season, gracing the stage with four new members on the company roster, including two apprentices from MCB School. Joining the company as a soloist is the accomplished Lauren Fadeley, former principal dancer with Pennsylvania Ballet.
Ballet and football? It’s no secret that ballet training is unmatched for developing speed and flexibility. So when New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski visited Miami Beach, Principal Soloist Nathalia Arja was more than happy to put him through the paces .. Gronk-style, of course!
