A famed choreographer tackles the ballet

Miami city Ballet Previews The Fairy’s Kiss

Miami City Ballet gave New York a sneak peek at The Fairy’s Kiss prior to its world premiere on Feb. 10. Choreographer Alexei Ratmansky, Artistic Director Lourdes Lopez and projection designer Wendall K. Harrington discussed the creation of the new ballet, music by Igor Stravinsky, and MCB dancers.

Congratulations to Shimon Ito

MCB soloist Shimon Ito was named one of Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” in its January issue. The annual feature, recognizing up and coming dancers from a range of dance styles, says Ito “grabs attention with his keen physicality” in lead roles like Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
