MCB Welcomes New Dancers

Miami City Ballet is 50 dancers strong for the 2016-17 season, gracing the stage with four new members on the company roster, including two apprentices from MCB School. Joining the company as a soloist is the accomplished Lauren Fadeley, former principal dancer with Pennsylvania Ballet.

Amir Yogev, also formerly of PAB, is rejoining MCB’s corps de ballet, where he began his career. The Apprentices joining the corps de ballet this year are Alaina Andersen, 18, from Milwaukee, Wis., and Luiz Silva, 20, from Barra Mansa, Brazil.

Congrats are also in order for Nathalia Arja who has been promoted to principal soloist, as well as Chase Swatosh and Shimon Ito, who have both been promoted to soloists.
