The Upper Room is an affinity giving circle of dynamic young patrons who are passionate about supporting MCB’s mission of presenting the best of dance and dance education.

MCB’s Upper Room members are a dynamic group of young patrons ages 21 to 45 who enjoy social and business networking opportunities, receive exclusive access to the artists of Miami City Ballet and have the opportunity to engage in philanthropic activities at MCB.

Upper Room events will immerse members into the world of ballet while connecting them to MCB’s innovative and impactful community programming.

$300 annually, or $30 in 12 monthly installments.

As Miami City Ballet’s new fiscal year kicks off on May 1, new leaders will take the helm to continue the growth of one of South Florida’s major cultural institutions. Michael Tiknis, who led the Harris Theater of Music and Dance in Chicago for 13 seasons, joins the Company as the interim executive director following the departure of Michael Scolamiero in April. Laura Hood Babcock has been hired as the new director of marketing, sales and communications with a diverse background as both a marketing executive and a professional ballet dancer.
