Pointe-Counterpointe: Miami City Ballet Dancers Critique ‘Black Swan’

Black Swan, a psychological thriller revolving around the all-consuming, competitive lives of rival New York City ballet dancers played by Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, opened in South Florida theaters on Friday. The film, directed by Darren Oronofsky (Requiem for a Dream and The Wrestler) and nominated for four Golden Globe awards, divided a small group from Miami City Ballet that attended a pre-screening in Aventura earlier in the week.MCB principal dancers Jennifer Carlynn Kronenberg, Carlos Miguel Guerra, Haiyan Wu and principal soloist Yang Zou enjoyed it.
