Julian Goodwin-Ferris

Hometown: Houston, Texas

Julian Goodwin-Ferris grew up in Houston, Texas, and spent more than 10 years training at the Houston Ballet Academy. There he performed in over a dozen productions with the professional company. Julian danced with Ballet Austin during their 2016-17 season, where he performed soloist roles in Stephen Mills’ The Nutcracker and Septime Webre’s Alice (in Wonderland). While with Ballet Austin, he toured China for a month performing in 15 different cities. Julian will graduate from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2019 with a degree in ballet and an outside field in music. As a student at IU he has performed numerous leading roles, including the principal in George Balanchine’s La Source, and the Cavalier in The Nutcracker. Other training includes a short-term stay at Palucca Hochschule für Tanz in Dresden, Germany, and summer programs at the Royal Danish Ballet and Jacob’s Pillow.

Julian joined MCB as a corps de ballet dancer in 2019.
