Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Sales & Customer Relations leads sales, retention, and customer engagement functions of the Miami City Ballet to achieve both short and long-term budget, revenue, and customer experience goals. This key position will actively embody the company’s brand strategy and audience development goals through effective leadership of Box Offices/Audience Services (in-bound call center), Telesales, and retail functions across all MCB channels. Direct reports include: Box Office Manager, Group Sales, Retail Manager, Call Center Manager.

The Director of Miami City Ballet School (“the Director”) leads the operations, strategic priorities, and growth of Miami City Ballet School (MCBS), the Official School of Miami City Ballet (MCB). With more than 800 students served annually, and a budget of $2.3 million, MCBS aims to inspire, develop, and sustain a love of dance in every student. The breadth and depth of the dance training the School provides, coupled with the expertise of its faculty and connection to a world-class company, makes MCBS a unique model in dance education. The success of the School is critical to the success and mission-fulfillment of MCB.
The Board Liaison & Executive Coordinator is responsible for administrative and strategic support to the Executive Director and Board of Trustees. This position functions as the primary contact person for the Board of Trustees and supports the Board Chair with Board management. She will be expected to remain in regular contact with the Executive Leadership Team, Board Chairman, and Trustees of the organization, advising and keeping them informed of board and committee activity.
Miami City Ballet is looking for a group leader to join Miami City Ballet’s Ballet Bus is a Community Engagement program which provides dance training to students in school communities within Miami Dade County schools. The group leader provides leadership, ensuring safety and direct supervision of children in the Ballet Bus Dance Education program.
Miami City Ballet (MCB), founded in 1985, is universally admired as one of the world’s preeminent interpreters of the choreography of George Balanchine. Its repertory of more than 100 ballets, was built upon the Balanchine repertory, style, and technique, and then expanded to include beloved classical works of importance and exciting new choreography by contemporary and ground-breaking artists. MCB is led by former NYC prima ballerina and television personality, Lourdes Lopez. Now in her seventh year as Artistic Director, Ms. Lopez is bringing a new level of artistry to the company, adding classical repertoire, and commissioning new works. MCB presents a season of four repertory programs and a newly designed Nutcracker at the Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center in Miami, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, and Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, and is presented annually at Artis-Naples. The annual operating budget is approximately $20 million, half of which is earned through ticket sales, touring fees, and school tuition.
Miami City Ballet Community Engagement is seeking dynamic and versatile teaching artists for its community engagement programs. Miami City Ballet believes in the power of dance to transform lives and holds a mission of eliminating barriers to access to arts experiences. We are looking for teaching artists who are proficient in engaging diverse populations, exhibit a passion for dance, possess strong teaching skill and successfully teach in an accessible, joyful, learner-centered manner. We welcome submissions from teaching artists in classical ballet, creative movement, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, Flamenco and Folklore.
