Status: Full Time
Schedule: Monday- Friday/ 8 hours per day 9:30am- 05:30pm (40 hours per week) with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends
Salary Range: $45,000 – $50,000 yearly

ABOUT COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Miami City Ballet Community Engagement effectively eliminates barriers to arts education and access through thoughtful creative learning opportunities for those at every level of arts exploration, reaching thousands of young people and families every year.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Two-year minimum experience in the field of youth and arts education. Individuals must be highly organized and productive, tech savvy, self-motivated, and have experience coordinating programs. We welcome candidates who want to begin a career in community engagement; individuals who are responsible, positive, and proactive, to support the needs of Miami City Ballet community engagement programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, collaborate, and support program needs across team areas in Community Engagement.
  • Work with various teams within Community Engagement to ensure seamless coordination of program requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between different departments to facilitate effective communication and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and provide support for all special projects and community initiatives.
  • Responsible for setting up, preparing, and attending all community programming, performances, and activations.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to create a visually appealing and logistically efficient setup for successful events.
  • Coordinate logistical aspects of community programming and performances, including transportation logistics, catering arrangements, and collaboration with production for costume load-out, etc.
  • Ensure all details are meticulously planned to enhance the overall performance experience.
  • Actively support and participate in Community Engagement events and programming.
  • Ensure the successful planning, implementation, and evaluation metrics for all community initiatives.
  • Coordinate logistics, registrations, and overall administration to guarantee a smooth and enriching experience for all Community Engagement programming.
  • Coordinates calendar of events to ensure seamless organization.
  • Manages department marketing deadlines and organizing of materials and collateral for events.
  • Collects, tracks and inputs program and event data.
  • Provides onsite coordination of programmatic activations in schools, venues, and community.
  • Oversee inventory needs for Community Engagement programs, including materials and resources required for various initiatives.
  • Implement efficient tracking systems to manage inventory as needed.
  • Provide essential support in the grant application process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and requirements.
  • Track and organize grant-related information to facilitate accurate and timely submissions.
  • Implement effective systems for evaluation of all programming efforts.
  • Process invoices and credit card reimbursement for department.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of financial tasks for the department including financial reconciliation of monthly expenses.
  • Engage professionally and positively with all MCB staff, parents, children, program team, and community members.
  • Adherence to timely responsiveness to communication written and verbal.
  • Ability to multi-task responsibilities and deadlines in support of department needs.
  • Organizes program needs in support of director and managers for all engagement activities, space requests, workshop set up, scheduling, supplies.
  • Proactive in follow up and responsiveness to email, task directives and team communication.
  • Provides administrative support to the team.
  • Understands that role is in support of a team which requires being one-step-ahead of needs.
  • Commits to a consistent on-site work schedule with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Must be over 18 years of age
  • Passion for arts in education community programs
  • Must be an organized individual who prioritizes attention to detail
  • Effective oral communicator being able to interact with many different individuals in person or over the phone in a professional manner
  • Must possess strong written communication skills
  • Proficiency in all Google and Windows Office programs- including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
  • Bilingual in English, Spanish or Creole preferred due to nature of work with community
  • Able to multi-task, handle competing priorities and more than one project at a time
  • Candidate must pass background screening level 2
  • Experience in dance education, social work, youth and urban communities preferred
  • Able to work successfully with a team environment and independently
  • Models behavior, demeanor and best-in-class including being coachable, open to guidance and support
  • Demonstrates strong communication skills and emotional intelligence
  • Reliability, dependability and strong leadership skills
  • Must possess acceptable hearing and visual capabilities in order to monitor environment and children’s well-being
  • Proven success in communication and interpersonal skills especially with parents and children.
  • May be required to sit, stand, or maintain physical activity for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Reliability, punctuality and commitment to the program schedule and needs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
