Company Auditions in New York

Miami City Ballet is holding open auditions in New York City for the 2017-18 season.

Sunday, March 26, 2017
3 p.m. – 8 p.m.

3 – 3:30 p.m.: Men’s Registration
3:30 – 4:30 p.m.: Men’s Class

3:30-4:30 p.m.: Women’s Registration
5 – 6:15 p.m.: Women’s Class

School of American Ballet
165 W. 65 Street, New York
(W. 65th St. between Amsterdam and Broadway)

MCB is looking for classically trained (minimum of 10 years) and professional male and female dancers to join the Company at all levels (corps, soloists and principals). Training in the Balanchine technique is a plus.

Pre-registration for audition is required. Please submit:

  • Resume
  • Current headshot
  • 2-3 full-body dance photographs
  • Recent video (link) to a classical work, variation

Summer Chaperones

We are looking for college students or young professionals, age 20 or older, to work as chaperones at the 2017 MCB Summer Intensive.  A background in dance or other arts is desirable, but not required.  Previous experience as a chaperone with students ages 12-19 is preferable.  We are also looking for at least one chaperone with a nursing background.

The Director of Development is a senior management position responsible for all aspects of planning, executing, and evaluating Miami City Ballet’s (MCB) fund raising program including individual giving, corporate, foundation and government support, and special events.
