DARLEEN CALLAGHAN / SCHOOL DIRECTOR

Become a MCB Apprentice

An advanced student who is ready to become a professional dancer may be invited to become a School Apprentice with Miami City Ballet. This program is highly selective and only the best advanced level students from the MCB School will be invited to participate. This is a salaried position; these students are paid a living stipend. Pointe shoes are provided, and Per diem and hotels are provided for performances outside the city of Miami.

An apprentice is expected to take Company class every day along with the School classes when possible. They perform and tour with the Company. This is an amazing opportunity for students to gain a season of practical training with a professional ballet company. It’s invaluable for students who will be seeking full-time positions with professional companies following graduation.

For more information on the apprentice program, please contact MCB School at (305) 929-7000 x1801.
