Sarah McCahill

Sarah McCahill was born in Hartford, Conn., and started dancing when she was five. She trained at the Nutmeg Conservatory for the Arts on scholarship until she was 16. She competed in Youth America Grand Prix several times, twice with an ensemble and twice as a soloist, making it to the finals in New York City. She spent one summer training at the School of American Ballet and then at age 17 she started training under Alexei Tchernichov and Joseph Albano. At 18, McCahill attended the MCB Summer Intensive and was invited to stay for the school year program. In 2011, she joined MCB as a student apprentice and in 2012 was the recipient of the Toby Lerner Ansin Scholarship Award. In 2013 she was promoted to corps de ballet.
