Children’s Division Showcase & Pre-Professional Choreographic Workshop

During this performance, our littlest dancers in Creative Movement, Pre-Ballet, Ballet Preparatory I, II and III will demonstrate what they’ve learned this year with a class preview and final performance!
In addition, MCBS will be highlighting original choreography created and performed by students in the Pre-Professional Division. The pieces are the culmination of work in a year-long composition class that is part of the program’s curriculum, and students are responsible for all aspects of the works including musical choice, choreography, lighting and costume design.

Student Workshop Performances
Friday, June 2 – Sunday, June 4, 2023
To culminate and celebrate the work our students have accomplished throughout the year, Miami City Ballet School presents our Annual End-of-Year Student Workshop Performances! These performances allow our students from Student Division & Pre-Professional Division demonstrate on stage the technique and artistry they have gained throughout the year.
Students from Level I to Level VI perform original works choreographed by MCB School faculty and/or other classical repertoire. The performance will highlight the most advanced level students our Pre-Professional Division, many of whom will be graduating and starting their professional careers in dance. The program will feature a variety of classical and contemporary works from company repertoire.
