Database Adminstrator

Position Overview:

Miami City Ballet seeks an experienced SQL Database Administrator on a contract / part-time basis to provide database development and programming support, assessment and implementation.

Qualifications:

  • SQL Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS and/or IT.
  • Superior web/online shopping cart and production skills required.
  • 3-5 years SQL Server development and programming experience.
  • Proven experience in data management, reporting, query tools and practices, database design, administration and security.
  • Proven experience building database tools to suit business objectives for multiple clients.
  • Familiarity with database needs for nonprofit fundraising, performing arts ticketing a plus.
  • Experience with Tessitura a plus.
  • Must be a team player, problem-solver, proactive, data-oriented and highly motivated.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills required.

Community Division Dance and Fitness Instructors

Miami City Ballet School’s Community Division is seeking experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic dance and fitness instructors to partner with us!  If you have a passion for teaching dance or fitness to anyone from toddlers to seniors, we’d like to explore the possibility of creating a special class or workshop for you in this division.

Box Office and Sales Manager
Department: Marketing
Reports to: Director of Marketing & Communications

Position Overview:

Miami City Ballet seeks an experienced box office and sales manager to join our team.

The Box Office Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Box including single-ticket and subscription sales, ticketing and CRM database management (Tessitura), inbound and outbound call center and customer service, third-party ticket promotions and remote box office operations.

The Box Office Manager is responsible for maintaining a superior level of customer service at all patron sales touchpoints, including phone, internet and venue.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years senior box office experience required.
  • Superior database and CRM management skills required, Tessitura experience strongly preferred.
  • Superior web/online shopping cart and production skills required.
  • Proven sales team management and customer service experience required. Telesales a plus.
  • Must be a team player, problem-solver, proactive, data-oriented and highly motivated.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communications and organizational skills required.

This is a full-time position at the Miami City Ballet offices in Miami Beach, FL. Requires the ability to work during performances (evenings and weekends) with travel in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. Email a resume and cover letter to marketing@miamicityballet.org.

Customer Service Representatives
Department: Box Office
Reports to: Box Office Manager 

Miami City Ballet is seeking customer-service oriented highly motivated individuals to fill several part-time in season positions in its Box Office.

The successful candidate will represent Miami City Ballet in a professional manner by providing excellent internal and external customer service. Must be computer literate, possess excellent customer service/interpersonal skills, detail oriented and organized. Customer service experience is required.

Position duties included answer incoming telephone calls and greet visitors. Process in-bound (phone, mail, fax, e-mail and walk-up) subscription and single ticket orders. Provide daily payment settlements to immediate supervisors. Provide ticket holder services to existing ticket holders (subscribers, group members, and single ticket purchasers) such as ticket exchanges and duplication of lost/stolen tickets. Maintain customer records both computerized and hard copy. Act as sales clerk in in-house or traveling merchandise boutique. Provide support assistance to receptionist.

This is an in season position with hours offered on an as needed basis for the months of October through May only. Nights/Weekends possible with limited travel in South Florida to provide customer service at performance venues. Compensation is an hourly rate of $10.
